Thanksgiving 2013

The first Saturday of every month HomeDepot puts on a free Kids Workshop.  The boys were excited to build a boat like the Mayflower for November's project and display them for Thanksgiving.

We invited Nate's two sisters and their families that live close over for Thanksgiving Dinner this year. I love Thanksgiving with all its good food, family, relaxing, and being grateful for all the many blesssing we have in our lives.

I really wish I could have gotten a picture of the whole group, but food needed preparing, people needed to be eating, and we all were busy enjoying the holiday.

I had fun making these sugar cookie Turkeys for the big TURKEY DAY!  Gobble Gobble!

The kiddos got to play BINGO using candy corn and chocolate chips as their markers....they kept needing more markers!

Daddy's Boy

Roman is such a joy in our house!! He is always happy and a snuggler!  Love!

 Daddy's Boy
Roman definitely has a sweet spot for this man!!  Oh he is a DADDY'S BOY for sure!!  Nate recently was put in as the second counselor in our wards bishopric and now sits up on the stand each Sunday.  I purposely pick a bench to sit in with our boys that blocks the view of Nate where I sit;  just so Roman won't go crazy in my arms reaching for his Dad!  Roman has gotten past me once to hurry and run up to Nate and sit with him up on the stand.  Once he was picked up by Nate, Roman turned around and gave me the biggest, cheesiest grin ever!  Everyday when Nate comes home from work, Roman immediately stops whatever he is doing and runs to him, grabs at his legs, and begs to be picked up!  There has been countless times when the boys are all playing in the basement and Nate and I are watching a show on the couch, when out of nowhere Roman comes up to Nate, has him pick him up, and will lay back against Nate's chest and just chill with his daddy for awhile!

Can I help you dad?

 What ya doing Dad??

November Events

There were a few events this past November that we were lucky enough to attend.  First Nate took me the a Chicago Bulls game at the United Center.  The Bulls were playing against Utah Jazz, and even though the Jazz had some of my family members back home rooting for them, the Jazz just couldn't pull off a win and my Bulls prevailed!!  We were there with the CFO of Nate's company and it was good to get to know people that Nate associates with while at work.

Next big event at the United Center was the
Ringling Bros CIRCUS!!

Nate received our tickets from a associate from a bank who does business with him through his company.  The tickets were for a lower level suite that was AWESOME!!  I am convinced it is the best way to enjoy a show with kids.  Our own private room equipped with couches, flat screens, food, and a personal bathroom inside the suite!  Even by our seats outside the suite, in the stadium, the kids had a counter top in front of them that they used to place their plates full of hot dogs, mac n cheese, popcorn, chips, cookies, and their own pop to enjoy. The Show was amazing and the kids loved every minute of it and was astonished at some of the performances!
Since we were at the United Center Clay and Hayden wanted their picture taken by the famous Air Jordan statue of Michael Jordan!!  They both thought it was really cool that the United Center was not only home to the Chicago Bulls basketball team. but to the Chicago Black Hawks hockey team, and also is used for other fun events like the circus.  We went home and watched some YouTube video clips on how they change the flooring and setup the stadium.

Fall 2013

 Justin.......Just doing some wishing......dandelion style!
Roman rocking his monster jammies from Aunt Jessa.  He loves going around the house with his walker.  He will plant his foot rotate the walker to the direction he wants to go using his arms and hips and heads out.
I thought my sisters would find it funny I paired a leopard print cardigan with  my deer necklace!! It was like hunting gear...girl style!  lol
I find it totally appropriate to name my kids in their cold weather gear!  Introducing Blueberry and Peanut Butter cups!
Everybody in our house is drawn to this man!  It helps that he plays games like a stud too!  Love this picture!
Nate is such a good Dad.
