August 2015 Recap

August 2015 Recap

We went to the new LDS Indianapolis Temple Open house as a Family!  Such a beautiful temple and it makes me so happy my boys could go and walk through such a special building and learn a little bit more and how important and great they really are!

Relief Society "It's Better To Look Up" Activity

Everything was about "Up"  Started the next with "Whats Up" and talked about good news, went to "Eat Up" where we served taco salads cherry 7-UP and balloon bouquet cupcakes.  Had speakers on "Clean Up" "Chin Up" Cheer Up" "Dress UP" and I ended the night talking about how to "Look Up" unto to our Savior Jesus Christ and how we can have Him direct our lives more.

Up scaled my Kitchenaid a bit :)
and my Toy Story loving Roman.  I am sucker for a 50 cent garage sale toy story item!  I mean just look how he loves them! Ok the big Woody and Bullseye were for his birthday but everything else a dollar or less!!  Score!

I was called as the new Relief Society President in my Lake Villa 2 Ward in January.
Here is our Chocolate Party.  We learned how to be like a chocolate chip.  A chocolate chip doesn't melt into the coolie but keeps its shape even under pressure and heat the world throws at us and still hold strong to our beliefs and be in the cookie (aka world) but not melt into the cookie!!  Be The Chocolate Chip was our theme for the night!  We had 13 different kinds of chocolates to sample with three different kinds of milk.  Two separate games, one one chocolate fun facts and then other was jars filled with candies to guess the # of treats and win the jar!  Top the evening off with a flowing chocolate fountain and lots of food items to dip into it!  The stake RS President came to our RS night and brought homemade marshmallows that were delicious.  Potato chips and cinnamon bears were a big hit to dip into chocolate too! We sent a chocolate chip cookie favor home with the ladies with the reminder of Be the Chocolate Chip!  Was a terrific night!
