Fun boys
There is nothing wrong with having a bit of fun while looking for new Halloween costume ideas!
Loving this fall weather so much! Saturdays are when we like to get some lunch as a family and go explore new forest preserves together!
Beautiful day
July, 2014

A beautiful day for a walk around Hastings Lake.
Roman wanting to be the Real Mr. Potato Head!!
Basketball
Boys playing Basketball
Roman wanted in the action the whole time too. He would cheer (yell) from the sidelines to be put in the game again. Also, Roman is always walking around with his hands behind his back like in the photo. He looks like a mini man to me when he does this! Love it!
March 2014
Love that Roman is my cuddle boy. Look how cute he looks surrounded with all those stuffed animals and blankets and pillows! I wanted to crawl in that enclosure right with him.
The weather this winter has been super brutal. Not only have we had record snow fall, but it was just dang cold cold cold!! We had many school cancellations just due to the extreme cold temperatures outside. So since it is pretty much miserable outside, even now in March...why not make a party inside! The boys had a ball sleeping in our tent in the basement! Before we put the sleeping bags in I let them have a ball war inside the tent that Roman thought was super fun and giggled the whole time!

Thanksgiving 2013
The first Saturday of every month HomeDepot puts on a free Kids Workshop. The boys were excited to build a boat like the Mayflower for November's project and display them for Thanksgiving.
We invited Nate's two sisters and their families that live close over for Thanksgiving Dinner this year. I love Thanksgiving with all its good food, family, relaxing, and being grateful for all the many blesssing we have in our lives.
I really wish I could have gotten a picture of the whole group, but food needed preparing, people needed to be eating, and we all were busy enjoying the holiday.
I had fun making these sugar cookie Turkeys for the big TURKEY DAY! Gobble Gobble!
California Tide Pools
We all visited the Tide pools to see what fun creatures we could find with the tide out.
Roman was having a ball with Grandma Mindy
Wish Nate could have been here to have a great family shot, but he was holding down the fort for us back home working hard. I feel really bad when we get to leave and go on a vacation and it is not possible for Nate to take any time off. Not bad enough not to go mind you, since I rarely get to see my family, but I really hate missing special moments without my one and only! July happens to be the busiest month for his work with a big quarter end, yearly projection time, and meetings with banks domestic and foreign about the different covenants and contracts Stepan co has with them. I love that he still makes it possible for me and the boys to get out west, even if he can't join in the fun. Thanks babe!
Two boys sitting on a log
Justin helping his cousin Boston to navigate the rocks! They were so cute together! They both ended up a bit sandy and wet by the end though. Its a boy thing!
Look how big my three oldest boys are!! Mini men right there!
I can't get enough of these munchkins!
Basketball
Clayton and Hayden have a "ball" with their dad when he comes home from work and says its basketball time after dinner. Justin gets in the fun to, usually trying to get in his older brothers way setting a perfect screen up for Nathan. It's so funny to watch it all play out.
Nathan is such a great father to his all his sons. Our boys are lucky to have a dad who is so involved and will play for hours with them even after a long day at work!
One of these is not like the other! Roman was so not happy when they boys needed their ball back to play. Seriously, look at that lower lip he is pulling off perfectly! Such a cute mad face!
Giving me his great smiles and posing like a star!

Can never go wrong with Hot Wheels with boys! They can't get enough of them! I'm pretty sure they run better with baby slobber anyway!
Justin taking a swing with his little bud Roman, soaking up some sun together!
Love this man, who surprised me with flowers when he came home from work. Just because he knew I had a bad day! It's the little things sometimes!
Love this Boy!
April 2013
Roman is Eight months old and trying tons of new things, He is a super fast army crawler, and will at any moment get the full on crawl down.
His first reaction to peas and carrots was not what he expected at all. I felt sorry for the boy with all the gagging he was doing, but he also kept swallowing it down to, so by the end of the jars he was OK with peas and carrots. Just was a dancing game for his taste buds to get use to I guess.
