Clay is totally bending his head down here!! It really doesn't suffocate him I promise!
Bath Time Peace...Please!
So needless to say I hurried (at least I wanted it to be hurried) and made another bath towel for my boys. Mainly to give peace to myself and between the two crazy boys. On a previous post you can see I made a "Frog Towel"for Hayden, because he liked acting like one hopping around, and me hoping he would go through all his energy, which we all know he has tons of. But, every bath time came around it was yells and screams for Ribbit, Ribbit with Hayden's arms stretch out to make sure he was the lucky one to wear it. Then, Clay would wait all dripping wet, walking naked to his room, standing there shaking until I got Hayden's diaper on and he could "steal" the towel away. I had to find a solution, so our "Bear Towel" was created. Ahh peace!!

Mickey Mouse Day
Today was a day full of projects to do at home. 50+ invitations to make, wood floors to be cleaned and polished, and the glamorous job of laundry and dishes. So to make our day a little more fun, my boys and I decided to make it a Mickey Mouse Day! This is more for Hayden. He loves watching the classic Mickey toons and I will completely admit I do too! I love all the Disney Movies and try to collect them more for myself then for my boys which explains why we have Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and other girly Disney DVDs.It was fun to see Clayton get into our themed day to. Clay is all about the Super Heroes!! Superman, Spider man, Batman, Flash,Iron Man, Star Wars, Transformers, basically any overly tough good guy, except for Thor. Clayton says "I don't really like him, His hair is too long and that's too much like a girl!" I can't really argue with that!

Activities for the day:
1. Sing and dance silly with Mickey Mouse CD. The boys are hilarious dancing, they do little posses and everything right along with the music.
2. Pancakes for lunch, shaped like Mickey/Snowmen. Clay liked cutting Mickey up into pieces. I think that was the best mickey pancake I have ever done!
We had a fun morning and afternoon. I was glad it was Mickey today, because I played Captain Fay last week ordering my little buccaneers around to search for hidden treasure, warning them to be nice or I would make them walk the plank. I was too good of a actor and lost my voice! Too many Arrghs ya matey I guess! ;)
Aspiring Photographer?
Clayton loves to play with my camera. I really should buy him a toy one or disposable one so I don't have to gasp every time I think he is about to drop mine. I let him take picture around the house and I get things like his toes, a corner of the wall, or a spider man toy held up by his own hand. But I guess with all the practice I allow him to do, (yeah a little self compliment for me there ;) he is getting really good. These are pictures Clayton took all by himself.
Hayden's body is a little cut off here!
Beauty and Blessings
The weather is just a good casual topic of discussion for any conversation. And recently it has been how strange the weather has been and when is that warm sunshine going to come our way? For me even if the weather stinks and it seems more like the first day of spring then upcoming Memorial Day weekend, I can't help but smile and become instantly happy when I see a RAINBOW!! If you can't say it's beautiful, a wonder to behold, or simply something to replicate with sidewalk chalk, then I'm sorry you're CRAZY!!
Each time I see one it reminds me of two things: 1) It's meaning and the strength that I feel that there are such promises given unto man 2) My Gr Delwyn and Gr Barbara.
Gr Delwyn for his ranch in Soda Springs, Idaho where I could find multiple RAINBOWS, be a cowgirl, become one with nature and just feel. Gr Barbara for showing me how to notice all the little things around me and be grateful for beautiful blessings that come our way! There are many memories that I treasure of waking up for the morning sunrise to take a walk down the ranch lane with Gr. Barbara and seeing the meadows flowers, smell the fresh dew on the grasses, and listen to the quacking aspens, which to me purred.
My Gr Barbara also has a picture of a DOUBLE RAINBOW that I think she took almost ten years ago hanging on a wall in Idaho and even being just a picture that is old and dated I can only smile. ;)

Playing Frog
My sons have recently been playing around as frogs. Silly? Why yes. I think they started after seeing an episode of Bugs Bunny and a frog was singing and dancing all throughout the show. Least we know they gather great skills from a cartoon frog huh! So to help them have a little fun I whipped this hooded towel up for them!! I think the spots and bright color make it a fun frog!! Ribbit! Ribbit!
Nathan's New Ride
Ladies Man Award!!
Clayton just recently had his preschool graduation. Clay was part of a preschool program done by a high school near our house. There were 12 teen students to 14 little preschoolers which is really good ratio huh. They had a special class room filled with activities and miniature everything to make it a fun kids world. Not only is this preschool a great price, good ratio, and great field trip activities to go and do; Clay also got to go with a friend he already knew from our old ward.
Graduation, which I think is funny to begin but we go with the flow, was typical. Songs with actions, explanations of the activities throughout the year, treats, and awards for all the students.
The awards they started giving kids were: best smile...most compassionate...most likely to achieve...most improved... and then they said "The award we gave to Clayton is the LADIES MAN AWARD!!!" What?? I couldn't stop laughing! Now, I know my son and it is not because he is keen on any girls yet at all, but he is a kid who really understand humor and has a good time having fun with people. SO apparently he caught the eye of all the teen girl students attending him every Tue. and Thur morning. And who wouldn't be taken with that handsome devil!!!
Yeah my son is a Cute Kid we have the award to prove it! ;)

Oh, and there was only one boy teacher for the whole class, who you can tell is a sporty, confident, popular kid and he singled Clayton out to be his own personal buddy. I asked Clay "Oh, do all the cool kids like you?" His reply "Yeah, they do"
I Love Ya MOM
Garage Sale in the Rain!!
It's official, I have created a garage sale junky! Clayton seriously is mad if we drive to a sale and I can see there is no toys there and suggest that he would have more fun sitting in the car watching Disney DVDS then to come out! Even in the Rain!! After our Friday morning exercise class Kacie(sister-in-law) spots some garage sales on the way home, Clayton says "We have to go Mom I need to look for stuff!" At one place he did in fact find a fun toy, an alligator game where everyone pushes down a tooth to see who the alligator will bite down on, you know which one I'm talking about, anyway it says 75 cents on it so to toughen him up I give him 50 cents and told him to ask the lady if she would take it or not. I know I was feeling mean too but he did it all by himself and was grinning from ear to ear running back with his purchase in hand!! Only 4 and he is haggling all sorts of deals. My Grandpa Ellis would be proud!! he he he he So did you get the picture me, Kacie looking all gross in sweaty exercise clothes running in the rain with Clayton on our heals in search for our treasure!!
Earth Week
In celebration of recognize the Earth Week I thought is would be nice to show how Clayton loves the Earth! We're still working on where anything is located on our big Earth, along with everything else he needs to learn eventually, but it's all a work in progress! Right? ;)
