Sweet Boys

So.... I am a mom of boys, and as far as mine go they are ALL BOY. There is not a day that goes by that doesn't involve a wrestling match, challenges of whose piece of food is bigger, or who is the winner of going up the stairs. Oh, or Hayden calling Nate "You a punk Dad!"

It is really funny and they started the little back and forth banter of "you a punk"....."No, You're a Punk" during their wrestling wars. What's not so funny is when Nathan has to give a talk at church with the High council member, and Hayden is on our banch calling to Nathan "Dad, your a PUNK!" I don't know how many times I have told him that he only calls his Dad a punk and only when they are wrestling.

My 2 boys aren't even at age five yet and they have strong competition juices running through them. But what I really love is when they wake up too early in the morning, me attempting to get more sleep because coming home after midnight from work is tiring in it self, I turn on cartoons and try to tune out the noise being not ready to get up and one of the boys...today it was Hayden... gives me the simplest, sweetest little loves. Hayden was under the covers with me and turn to share his blanket, pat the side of my cheek and then kiss my forehead!!!

There has been other times when Clayton has heard me say "Ouch my stomach" or some reference to my growing prego belly, and he comes up to me and says "The baby ok in there mom? You feeling alright? It will all be ok." This along with hugs and pats on my belly.

They do little things like this alot and it is special because they think to give these little loves all on their own not needing to be persuaded at all. Who doesn't like to receive affection especially when it is done completely on their own!! What sweet boys!

My boys are tough and love new challenges but they also are sweet sensitive little men that make their mom feel special!!

oh BOY oh BOY!!

To let everyone in on the news we are going to have another baby BOY!!!! Nathan thinks this is great and started having pictures flash through his head of our very own basketball team!! Apparently I tend to have all winter babies with Clayton Dec 19 birthday, Hayden Jan 12 birthday, and baby boy due end of January 2009. Nathan's birthday is Dec 24 Christmas Eve and I am the lone Summer birthday of July 27. If Hayden didn't destroy all his old clothes (I say destroy b/c he is my very active boy!) I am hoping to have a few hammy downs.

Ultrasound pics are never the greatest but at least you know I have proof of a little babe and that I am not pulling your leg or something! These are suppose to be profile pics but... I want to see the real thing!

Just wanted to share!

Golden Seven on September 7th

Nathan and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on Sunday September 7th. Wow SEVEN years I can't believe it!! When I look back and see all the different things we have accomplished and goals we set, strived for, and then achieve, it's a great feeling! I am so happy to have made so many of those goals with my husband Nathan. He is my main support through everything! I know without a doubt there hasn't been a single thing that has come our way that we didn't decide what is best for us as a couple or family and set certain goals for ourselves TOGETHER. Things that have been big changes in the last seven years are:

1. Being married!!
2. Nathan graduating from BYU 2001
3. Moving to Illinois 2002
4. Buying our 2bath/2bed condo 2003
5. Baby Clayton Dec 2003
6. Nate changing jobs from Walgreen's corp to Freedom Roads/Camping world
7. Baby Hayden Jan 2006
8. Lacey's Crazy middle of the night EVERY night newspaper job!! WOW that was some good money!
9. Sold condo and bought our new 3bed 2 1/2 bath house!!! 2007
10. Nathan taking GMAT and scoring above 97% of everyone who even takes the test!! WOW
11. New baby due end of January 2009

Whoa that's alot and looks like a crazy summary to me!

I feel so blessed to be where I am and married to my husband. I am well taken care of and loved what more could I want or need!!

A Fast Draw

So in the time it takes me to get from the sink in my own bathroom to the tub of that same bathroom something like this might happen.

Clayton and Hayden were in my tube while I proceeded to get myself ready for the day. Clayton calls "Mom Hayden has your......" Me, taking 1 step and a half then ..... "Hayden what in the world...."

This kid has the fastest draw around I tell ya!!

Here is the look Hayden gives me after he is out of the tub and we are investigating the "Damage"

What can I say the kid just makes me laugh!!!!!

Updated family Picture at least until next year!!

I wanted to get a new updated family picture taken, although it will be Outdated this coming January when our third baby arrives!! Yes, you read right!! If you haven't heard already there ya go I'm expecting baby number THREE!!! So anyway what do you think of these pics?!?!?

The sun's a little bright here I think. Maybe I should try this one in Black & White.
Me and my Hubby!!!

I really like how the background is all white in this photo... It is probably my favorite. I think think this one might be the winner!!
The extra tall wheat looks cool here . . . right?
What kind of faces are we pulling? ? ?
We were trying for that Anne Geddes look did we suceed? hmm
I had to get a picture of our Professional Photographer ... Looking good DAD!!!

Baseball * Bear Lake *

So the last two things I wanted to share about out trip to Idaho and BEAR LAKE is:
1 The really fun baseball camp our family had together and all the younger kids had baseball shirts that said OK CAMP on the front, their name or nickname on the back with a big 08 for 2008. The OK part is actually by grandpa Delwyn's brand and a fun way to title the camp.

2. How great is was staying in condos that were walking distance to the water. The water was a beautiful Blue again this year and all the activities we were able to enjoy: boating, tubing, kayaking, jet skis, beach play, playing cards and what ever else we found that fancied us were just plain awesome! Meal times were fun as each family took a turn at cooking a breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week. So when it was not your turn it is always fun to be feed with great food and not to have had to prepare it. I guess that must be what men feel like alot huh? Wow, I wonder when it will be their turn in real life to do some cooking he he he

Pinata Yeah!!

More Idaho days

Look at those awesome COWBOYS & COWGIRL!!
Taking a ride down to the river bottoms.

When are we going to get going??????

Can I dig Grandpa? Where are your potatoes at, I don't see them?
Why do you need a bucket?

Another little update on fun times on my last trip.

Birthdays and Half birthdays

We have alot of winter birthdays in my family. In fact I am the only summer birthday at all. Nathan's is Dec 24, Clayton Dec 19, and Hayden Jan 12. I am the lone LEO (July ) of the family. Because of that fact and that they don't get to celebrate too many birthdays with us Mom and Dad had a put together a great party for the boys celebrating their HALF BIRTHDAYS!! They loved it!

Brooklyn wanted to help make a fun surprise for the boys but when Clay walked into the kitchen not knowing the wiser and threaten to ruin the whole plan the cake accidentally got dropped. She felt bad but the cake was salvageable. Her birthday card / apology letter was all too cute!

I had to take alot of time explaining to Clay that he isn't 5 yet but 41/2 now. He wanted to be 5 like his cousin Eli. The two of them are stuck together like glue and both were really sad to see the other one leave. A back yard barbecue that came with cake and brand new cowboy chaps for Clayton and Hayden!! They happen to be in their swimming suits playing in the sand box and kid pool so when try on and picture time came they ended up look a little like Chip n Dale dancers with chaps and no shirts!! All too funny!

I too got treated to a fun Birthday party. Complete with a chocolate cake with Hydrangeas on it!! We had a feast on the back porch and watch a gorgeous sunset.

WE ARE BACK!!

What a fun time our whole family had in Idaho!! We are still in the process of laundry, mowing, weeding, grocery shopping , and getting to our normal routine so I will post different parts of our vacation in small sections. The boys and I went out a week earlier then Nathan so of course we had tons more fun. The first thing we did when we flew to Idaho Falls was drive with Sophie, Brooklyn, and my parents to go to the cabin in Island Park. Clayton loved boating on Henry's Lake and had a blast in the innertube when I pulled him behind the wave runners. We also visited YELLOWSTONE BEAR WORLD which is really fun to go see with little kids. They couldn't stop saying "bear, BEAR, BIG BLACK BEAR!" Its a drive thru to see animals! Deer, Elk, a rare albino Elk, Buffalo, Moose, Wolves, and the main event Bears. They had lots of fun kid rides, a petting zoo, and of course a gift shop for everyone to say "Ah look how cute" at all the stuffed animals.
HuckleBerry Ride was Hayden's favorite. He has no fears at all
Huge ELK!!!!
BEAR SOPHIE AND CUB HAYDENWe love being outside to play and be surrounded in nature. My boys are ALL BOY when it comes to the outdoors; they want to do everything. Its fun to watch them discover new things and have their own little adventures.
