Long Grove Firehouse

One of the last days of our (Melissa Patterson and I) preschool was a visit to the Long Grove Firehouse!! Firefighter Kate was super fun with all the boys. She showed them all her gear and they were stunned at how heavy everything was. They all laughed when she put on her oxygen mask, Hayden said she look kind of like an elephant!

The Ambulance and Fire Truck were a huge hit. Who wouldn't want to sit in a BIG shiny truck full of buttons and dials. The Fire truck was actually one of their big TANKERS. Since Long Grove is an historic town they do not have any fire hydrants and they truck out the water with the TANKER!

All the boys left thrilled with bags of popcorn, coloring pictures, sticker, and a very cool iron on decal for a shirt which Hayden made me do right when we got home. Its a good thing we had a solid red shirt laying around huh! Melissa and her family have since moved to Florida and we will sure miss all of them. Hayden and Ethan were the best of friends and we already have had long days wishing we could still go on an play day with them. Best of luck to them and hopefully we can get together again sometime.
