Basketball

Boys playing Basketball

Is there anything better then playing a game with your dad?  These boys of mine are my everything!

Roman wanted in the action the whole time too.  He would cheer (yell) from the sidelines to be put in the game again.  Also, Roman is always walking around with his hands behind his back like in the photo.  He looks like a mini man to me when he does this! Love it!

Be Strong

Surgery day for my lil Roman... Bilateral hydrocele hernia near his groan that needed to be fixed on both sides. Just left him all conked out in the surgery room and now we wait #idontlikethis #hehatedallthecords #romanpaul #hopingforaneasyrecovery #extralovesforhimalldaytoday

After his surgery (which went really well) Roman took it easy for the next few days.  He was definitely  sore and had to be careful on how he sat down and not to straddle his legs in any way.  I don't like that he had to have the surgery at all, but Nate and I did enjoy all the snuggle time we got with him!
In his down time Roman wanted the movie Frozen or any Toy Story!  I just love how he had to have his toy Woody and Bullseye with him while he watched the show!  I find it completely adorable when kids have a favorite toy and they use their imaginations with them!  He kept saying "Hat.... nann na na na hat"  and put Woody's hat back on his head where it belongs!

Guy from the Airport?

-Guy from the airport???

Funniest backstory ever! So remember how I was moved from coach into first class and was literally flying up in the clouds happy. The story continues down in baggage claim. I was waiting for my bag to arrive around the carousel and a guy who was by me walked past me and I stepped aside feeling I was kind of in his way, he grabbed his bag and turned and looked straight at me and said "excuse me I'm sorry I don't mean anything by it but I just really wanted to tell you that you are gorgeous. I mean you are really really pretty....your eyes are amazing and you have such a symmetrical face...don't mean to bother you but I really felt like I needed to tell you that." Umm totally flattered and taken back by his comments. Said thankyou and that he was really kind and he went in his way while I waited for my bags still. My bag arrived and I headed out the door to meet Nate at the side of the curb and told nate I was at 3F that he could pick me up there and lo and behold I'm standing next to the same guy!!! I'm still talking on the phone and as soon as I ended he came up to me again and said "I'm sorry about before, but it's true you are beautiful and I felt compelled to talk to you and tell you that" We shook hands and I gave my thanks again and he was off to his cab! I was totally shocked about the whole scenario! Told Nate the whole story while driving home and we had a good laugh!! Needless to say my husband listens to me when we talk... Or has a bit of jealous streak in him ;)....But I found his note on the beautiful flowers he sent so funny!! I love my man!! Making me smile in so many ways!! #foreverandalways #myhubby #heknowshesfunny #idoloveflowers #akeeperforsure

Little Eagles Preschool

Little Eagles Preschool
2014

Justin was sad to have his preschool time come to an end.  Little Eagles Preschool is held at Lakes High School in Antioch, IL.  It is part of an class available to high school students who learn more about early education and running a classroom full of little students.  The kids and high school students become fast friends and there is 1-2 high school students to each preschooler who attends.  Justin's favorite part of preschool was being able to bring his own back pack to "his" class and the new games he learned there.

These two cute girls are friends of our from church and were is Justin's same preschool class, which made it that much more fun for him to have them there!

A few gems

Here are a few gems I felt were note worthy:
Spring 2014
My Lil Roman is in Love.....In love with the movie Frozen!!  He can't get enough of it and laughs at the Wandering Oaken's Trading Post Guy saying, "YOO-HOO BIG SUMMER BLOWOUT!" Every time!   I even caught him kissing the screen of my iPad when Elsa was singing her big "Let it Go" song!! He is mesmerized!  I will never get too old myself for the fun and magic Disney brings.  Nate can completely cream me at any trivia game there is, but make it a Disney Trivia and I can annihilate him!!
Clay is the new owner of some heavy metal!! LOL  2 years ago he had an accident on his teeth causing one of his front baby teeth to get shoved up to the tops of his gums. He had it extracted at the ER and since then we have not seen any signs of his adult tooth for that location.  He now has an expander on the roof of his mouth and a full set of braces top and bottom to help move his teeth to the correct placing's and make room for that adult tooth to make it's debut.
Justin is my happy, easy flowing kid that melts me with his smile!  Can't believe he will be attending Kindergarten in the fall!!  I going to miss my lil bud!

Sophie's Wedding

Adam and Sophie Rose
were married in the Idaho Falls Temple
Friday April 18th, 2014
I went up, up, and away from my boys to attend my sister Sophie's wedding.  It was so strange going through the airport without four boys to worry about.  I didn't have to move my kids along the lines, take anyone else's shoes/jackets/backpacks/blankets/stroller off  and placed in bins to be scanned at the security check points, worry if we were all seated next to each other on the plane, or keep them all entertained during the 3+ hour flight.  It was just me, and subway sandwich and a good book to enjoy up in the clouds.  It was heaven......and it was not.   I wished my boys and Nathan could have been there.  I would have gone through all of that and more to have them coming with me.  But this trip was for Sophie and her special day and I couldn't find tickets for all of us to be there for her with the time frame we had been given.  But at least I could go and without my boys I was able to help out a lot more at the reception and all that goes into making a girls wedding day spectacular!
Sophie looked gorgeous!
My mom put together the most fabulous reception!  With my recipe of ham and cheese sliders, fruits, vegetables, lemon berry pound cake dessert, fresh lemonade, and a collection of candy treats.  It was a rusty chic wedding with burlap,  twill hanging from the ceiling, tree trunk accents, lots of real live trees and small bushes, vases filled with tree branches, hydrangeas, red roses and dark twigs accenting the top.  The food table had battery opt candles, lamps, moss, and twigs that was the back drop to all the yummy food.

Adam is an active Marine and wore his full uniform for the wedding reception.

The Sister Shot!!
Emily, Jessa, Our Mom Mindy, The Beautiful Bride Sophie, Me and our sister-in-law Lacie!
Bunch of Gorgeous Gals right there!!

I also got to have a little fun the day after Sophie's big day, before I had to head on home!  My brother Max and Brother-in-law Trent and sister Jessa, are awesome at target shooting using bows.  They have their own personal equipment and let me have a go at it, which I loved!!  Jessa's purple bow totally rocks and I got all giddy with all my shots that were all grouped together (which I was told was a good thing) and close to the target! My Bro Max was even showing off his mad skills while seated in a camping chair!  Add a family bonfire and some rides on a motorcycle and you have  the makings of a great night of fun!

Had a spectacular view for the night as well!!

Back to reality and on the plane back home, but this one had a crazy twist to it....

Instagram post I did:

Literally in the clouds happy today!! It's a beautiful Easter Sunday... I'm heading home to my 4boys and hubby...I started out sitting in a good seat with the miracle of no one seating next to me, but THEN was asked if I didn't minding moving into first class seat 3A to help the balance the plane better.  I didn't pay attention to the seat number the flight attendant told me, I was slightly still focused on leaving the good seat I had when she directed me to my new seat in FIRST CLASS! Hot towel? Why yes please. Choice of meal? Chicken salad sounds delish thank you! I feel a bit pampered right now!! I even got some reading time in and minutes of shut eye with my free little airline blankie! It's a good day!! #pampered #wontlieitwasreallynice #wherehasfirstclassbeenallmylife #justluckytodayiguess
