Down Town with Transformers

Going down town to the city of Chicago is all was an adventure but having TRANSFORMERS 3 being film as well is just too COOL!!! Here are a few of the shots the boys and I took while we were out touring the city and Nate was stuck attending his MBA classes for the day.

The movie had lots of explosions and fire going on everywhere. Most of Michigan Avenue was blocked off, you can even see how they made the pavement look all messed up.

Clay found their army gear and thought they looked pretty cool but probably heavy as he put it.

The use of the bridge was a big focal point for all the spectators to zoom in on and see all the props.

Something that was amazing for us to see was the base jumpers who jumped of the Trump Tower and parachuted down right in front of us and landed on platforms on the Chicago River. Some jumpers had cameras on top of their helmets probably to get lots of different views of the city. There also were two Helicopters hoovering all day over Michigan Ave.
This is Trump Tower behind the boys. It is beautiful and I want to go see inside sometime.
Here is a link to some really cool clip of explosions done that day.

And besides all the Transformer fun we went took our time enjoying the city, visiting the Family Fun center at Millennium Park, meet Nate during his lunch break, found lots of water fun to get wet with and toured the docks around Navy Pier.

Hayden had a ball in all the water. I felt bad Clay couldn't go and enjoy it as much since he still has his cast on and can't get it wet.

Nice pose H!

Clay had fun at taking pictures for part of the day, especially of himself on the giant "bean"

Saturdays are really long when Nate is gone to school all day and doesn't get home till after 6 PM so it was a real treat for all of us to spend as much of the day with him as we could enjoying the beautiful and crazy Chi-town together.

Clay really wanted this picture because he is in the "know" about Chicago Black hawks winning the Stanley Cup and he insisted on having a picture by this window display of the uniforms and probably a major fake of the actual Stanley Cup but still I will agree with Clay a cool picture.

That looks awesome! I didn't even know that was still going on. I wish I could have taken Ethan down there but today is the last day of shooting. Oh well. I'm glad you guys got to see it. I'm sure the boys will always remeber that.
